Product Description
Articulated tank wagon Esso V
Novelty 2021: Printed variant of the “Esso” articulated tank car, used by the FS in the version from Era V. The first tank cars with a so-called “bent tank” were built in the early 1990s. The boiler was designed in such a way that the two halves of the boiler tilt towards the middle by 3° each. That's why the contents of the boiler, mainly mineral oil products, flow out almost completely without any additional aids. Since the vehicles, made of lightweight steel construction, are suitable for higher speeds, they were soon purchased by other companies throughout Europe. These wagons can be found as P (=private) wagons in the inventory of all European railway companies.
