Modelrailway.pt 0040 Helix for Piko R2 / R3

MODELRAILWAY.PT has developed a prefabricated modular construction system for railway dioramas,designed for easy and intuitive assembly.Made from 8 and 10 mm thick plywood, laser-cut and with interlocking parts to facilitate assembly.

GEOMETRY The base of the helical ramp is made of a 10 mm thick plate and is composed of 4 "L" modules, 2 left and 2 right.

The ramps and vertical supports are made of 8 mm plywood, cut at leisure and with fittings, either for fixing to the base or for fixing the ramp sections. 
This configuration allows the realization of ramps for single or double track with a minimum development of 80 mm per lap divided by 6 / 8 supports. 
The slope will not exceed 3.00% on the inland road.

RAMP STEP - 80 mm 
FREE HEIGHT - 72.0 mm
The entrance and exit of the ramp can be made at any of the ramp division points.

The connection between the various modules is made using M8 hexagonal head screws, nuts and their respective washers through holes positioned at the tops. Larger diameter holes were also provided for the passage of electrical wiring.

Composition - 1°Step - Base

WithBase - 2 x LEFT BASE MODULE 
         - 2 X RIGHT BASE MODULE 
         - 8 x M8 HEXAGONAL HEAD SCREWS AND NUTS 
Connection between the various modules is made using M8 hexagonal head screws, nuts and their respective washers through holes positioned at the tops. Larger diameter holes were also provided for the passage of electrical wiring. 

WithoutBase - 6 x BASES Bases for Start-up if supplied without the bases Modules.

Composition - 2°Step - First Lap

This First Lap that contains all the elements necessary for the construction of a helical ramp (360º winning a height of 8 cm + entrance and exit ramp making a total of 10.66cm) that, complemented with other Kits (Additional Laps)(Half Lap)(Individual Part), the modeler will be able to build his ramp in a personalized way and appropriate to his needs.

VERTICAL SUPPORTS: - 6 x START INTERIOR SUPPORTS 
                   - 6 x START EXTERIOR SUPPORTS 
                   - 6 x FINISH INTERIOR SUPPORTS 
                   - 6 x FINISH EXTERIOR SUPPORTS

The configuration of the supports allows the upper part to always end at the same height, allowing the ramp to be covered with a plate, thus allowing its decoration or use.
The overlap of the support elements allows the assembly of the ramp section by section and the fixation between them is made with the clips.
NOTE: The supports were designed to be rotated 180º thus allowing the ramp to be mounted on the left or right.
CLIPS: - 4 x SMALL CLIPS

Produced in resistant and flexible material through 3D printing they allow easy and stable fixing with the advantage of being able to be removed also easily and quickly.
RAMP: - 1 x STRAIGHT SECTION OF ENTRANCE

      - 5 x CURVED SECTIONS STANDARDS 
      - 1 x STRAIGHT SECTION OF EXIT

Produced in 8 mm thick plywood, cut at leisure and with fittings that allow correct positioning easily and accurately.
NOTE: all sections, straight or curved, were designed to be inverted, thus allowing the ramp to be mounted on the left or right.

Composition - 3°Step - Additional Laps

This Additional Lap allows you to build a complete turn - 360º, overcoming a height of 8 cm.

The Haf Lap allows you to build half a turn - 180º, overcoming a height of 4 cm.

The Individual Parts for height or exits adjustments, overcoming a height of 1,33 cm for each individual part.
