NG series has earned its distinction as a modern classic
Celebrated as a major accomplishment of Mercedes-Benz production more than 40 years ago, the series “New Generation”, or NG for short, has long been overdue for the recognition as a modern classic. WIKING started paying homage to the successors of the cubic series from the very beginning by releasing matching type class models, including the long distance version with the large cab, which came to dominate the roads of Germany and Europe in the seventies and eighties. The flat-bed road train is now staging a comeback in the series, naturally boasting the azure blue body colour that was a common sight at the time.
