From 1988 to 1998, 234 two-system electric locomotives of the BB 26000 series were delivered to the French State Railways. The machines, known under the artificial name “Sybic”, are used throughout France in all types of trains. These multi-purpose locomotives reach a maximum speed of 200 km/h and are capable of producing an output of 5,600 kW.
